GROWING UP

Designed by athletes, for athletes, Funkita launched in 2004 with the aim to deck swimmers out in an awesome range of comfortable and colourful chlorine resistant swimwear that stays on and keeps everything in the right places. On the bums of swimmers, triathletes, divers and surf lifesavers, Funkita took off as the brand to dive in, streamline, catch waves, somersault, chase seagulls and of course just get wet in! Made from C-Infinity, a premium Italian polyester fabric exclusive to Funkita, our colours won't fade and our swimwear won't lose its shape even after hours in chlorinated water or under the sun.

Since our early days, we've added kickboards, pull buoys, goggles, swim caps, mesh bags, backpacks and towels to the Funkita swim range so that every time you hit the water, we've got you covered.

In 2016, Funkita released its first FINA-approved performance suit. Using body moulding technology on elite athletes and hours of testing under race pace conditions, the APEX Stealth was developed to provide the most streamline, form fitting performance suit on the market. With gridlocking fabric technology to provide maximum compression and rigid carbon core stabilisers, the Stealth offers incredible body position on the water and minimal resistance through the water. Ongoing development ensures new suits are being constantly tested and refined by the Funky Lab (FLAB) team ready for future deployment.

As Funkita has grown, our mission has expanded and we leapt from the water to brighten up your gym and dry land training with our Funkita Fit range of colourful and comfortable activewear styles. Funkita Fit is designed for athletes to train in, not just for Saturday coffee. Made from premium fabrics to ensure maximum compression and movement with breathability and moisture wicking properties, it's a high performance product, without the high price tag.

We understand for every moment of exhilaration, there are thousands of laps, turns, starts, jumps and steps to get there. In every product we make a commitment to maximise the quality of our inputs while maintaining the most affordable price. We're not the cheapest product on the market because we pay for the highest quality inputs and maintain strict manufacturing standards, but we're not the most expensive either because we don't invest in extravagant marketing campaigns that in the end, are paid for by the customer.

Funky Trunks is the Aussie label for guys to make a statement when the pants come down. With crazy colours in comfy styles, spread across an extensive range of swimwear, underwear, beachwear and apparel, Funky Trunks is designed for serious performance without the serious attitude.

The Funky Trunks swimwear range is constructed with C-Infinity, a premium Italian polyester fabric exclusive to Funky Trunks that prevents colours from fading and the swimwear from losing its shape, even after hours in chlorinated water or under the sun. Launched unceremoniously as a joke in 2002, Funky Trunks has spread globally with state, national and Olympic swimmers strutting poolside in the outrageous prints.

Our beachwear range is designed for the Modern Waterman, who is not just a versatile water athlete, adept at interpreting weather and tide information, but he is also a fashion connoisseur, demanding a functional wardrobe to transition freely into land-based pursuits. The popular Shorty Shorts style that features in our beachwear collection is designed for the Modern Waterman with an attractive leg length to reveal just enough of his killer quad muscles to keep his fans happy as he surfs, paddle boards, steers the yacht, or enters a discerning European beachside dining establishment.

We designed our Funky Trunks Underwear collection knowing that comfort is an essential ingredient for men of action to keep their cool while keeping it together. That’s why the underwear range is constructed from a premium cotton elastane with a soft handle and high breathability. There is always the need to whip the strides off in a hurry, and what better way to do it than wearing brilliant Funky Trunks Underwear.

Never allow your Funky Trunks to sit too high as too much altitude above the hips may lead to a loss of consciousness. While swimming it is important you keep your Funky Trunks tightened at all times, in case you come across any unexpected turbulence.
